ESRA Recycling Policy
We are acutely aware of the ongoing e-waste problem in Australia. With the introduction and legalization of personal mobility devices, Australia has an ongoing problem recycling such components as Lithium-Ion cells.
To that end, ESRA disassembles and recycles all failed components.
we separate steels, aluminium alloys, copper alloys, and lithium cells to ensure none of your replaced components end up in landfill.
In South Australia in particular, it is actually illegal to send e-waste to landfill. E-Scooters are considered landfill.
Rest assured that ESRA do not dispose of any components we replace into landfill unless absolutely unavoidable.
To this end, any replaced Lithium cells incur a minor disposal charge.
Lithium cells require particular handling to avoid an unstoppable fire.
We employ the use of fireproof containers, and our workshop is equipped with Australian Standard AS/NZS 1841.2 Lithium ion specific extinguishing equipment.
Just our way of ensuring the Earth will be here for generations to come.
